What really makes a neighborhood great is variety, a mix of styles that catch the eye for different reasons. This week I built a pair of houses with very different personalities.

They both have white trim, one is big and brash, the other smaller and quirky. I really like how the small eaves turned out for the lavender house.

The differences are obvious around back too. The smaller house has a large, fenced yard with raised beds full of leafy greens. The house on the corner has surrendered the back yard to have a place to park their RV.

I love seeing these models from above and getting a feel for the different ways that the space can be used. Everything about the bigger house is brash, even their trees are unruly.

This completes my second full block of residential housing, marking build 8 of 52!
See you next week!
Keep building and enjoy!
